Deceived By Reviews – Goodman Air Conditioner Review

The fan is failing after less than a year on two units used extensively. For a $50 fan I expect it to last. We bought this for our 6 month old child for our trip to the beach and were disappointed. It really did not output cool air as much as you would expect for the price.

(I hate fiddly gadgets with all these annoying little parts). The handy cooler is odorless and gives out a very low buzz so it doesn’t disturb me when I work. It’s easy to fill water from the drinking fountains. I find the water bottle pretty useless as long as you don’t over fill the filter with more than 30 ml of water.

I am glad I believed her because this was better than I thought! It not only moves the air like a fan, but it cools the air down by using water to filter the air. The stream and velocity of air you can get with this (with the sponge and the speed toward high) is much stronger than I imagined. It depends on what you need.

It functions very well as a handheld fan and also doesn’t feel flimsy like some other handheld fans I’ve owned in the past. I would definitely recommend this item.

It would have been better if the air was strong so that both my girlfriend and I can share the cooling. It’s simple but works! It’s just taking swamp coolers and putting it into a little hand held plastic blower. I still like it, but since it stores a limited amount of water every time it can be bothering to rewet the filter that is inside the unit. Now, they will only run on high for maybe 15 minutes (if you’re lucky) before quickly winding down and then stopping all-together. That is with *brand new batteries*.

I remedied this by putting it in a plastic bag while I had it in my backpack. I used this cooler instead of my Brookstone mini-fan during this trip, but I still love the Brookstone fan because it puts out a little more air and it can be easily propped up on a book in bed (for those hot countries that have no electricity). Once I got it, I was very satisfied with the product. It comes with a filter which is somewhat like a sponge. With this product I have been able to sleep at night as I turn it on next to me. On the nights I feel that I need a lot of cooling off I turn it up high and in times like spring when it is only beginning to get hot, I can adjust the coolness to a medium rate. I have to say that standard misting fans are great if you’re out at the beach or something, but if you don’t want to get wet it can’t be used. The way the handy cooler is designed gives you the same effect but without the wetness hitting you. To feel the cool air, you will pretty much have to position the vents towards yourself. You need to put water into the filter every 2 hours, but it will still work if you don’t – just without the cool air effect.

It is very quiet, the front grill is plastic, it’s and more importantly has no plastic odor which is a huge plus for me as I find that smell unbearable. sell guitars.
