Date: 02/25/10 Message: America has done little to rectify the injustices perpetrated against Native Americans, Hawaiians included. Since I was in grade school I have been horrified by the treatment of Native Americans in THEIR lands by IMMIGRANTS (which everyone else whose ancestors are not native to this country technically are) to this country. No, I am not a Native American, but still I recognize the injustices that have been done to these peoples. As a descendant of European immigrants, I am ashamed of the tactics that have been used against the native peoples of this country to keep them in an unending condition of poverty, poor health, and dim futures. I love the USA, but I will always recognize and be outspoken of any wrongs committed by its government, as well as when it has stood and acted for justice!
