Consequently, it is clear to me that this camera does not support what it advertises. My suggestion to Olympus is fix the seal problems for this camera or stop advertising that it can take pictures under water. I was just surprised how the quality of the pictures turned out so bad. Great camera for what I wanted. Would not have bought without this feature but didn’t check so it’s my loss. It works very well, but the only problem is that sometimes after you have taken 3 or 4 pictures, suddenly it is impossible for the camera to focus and you have to turn of the camera and turn it on again to make it work, I can’t say how durable it is, since I have just got it. This is just something to help you out if you buy one. All of this was bought for $180.
Awesome experience and since then have been a great product to brag about in all the water-parks I go and flash it in front of people

I hope it works as well under water. I bought this camera in November, owned it for a month and I dropped my purse with my camera in it and the camera broke. I’m so frustrated with this camera. We bought it because we live in a tropical area and go to the beach a couple times a week.
Save your money and buy one with a separate underwater housing- wish I had now.
The memory is the wrong memory. It is the memory for the older model. It takes a SD card for extra memory. I don’t know what happened with these others peoples’ cameras.
I was hesitant about buying this camera but I don’t regret my choice. It is hard to get used to but after playing around with it I was able to figure it out.
Good price, nice clear pictures. It has a built-in owner’s manual to some extent, but when we tried to initialize it following that manual it jammed up and wouldn’t complete the function. The camera is the slowest when taking multiple pictures in a row with the flash. The flash does take some time to recharge, but I don’t think this is a big issue.
I bought this camera in replacement of my former Olympus Stylus 720SW which had broken after my son opened the battery cover while taking pictures in the lake. I love, love, love my 720SW, and assumed that the current Olympus water-proof cameras would be an equally quality product. Eventually after 18 months, it stopped working altogether. So I sent it to the New York Olympus center.
As a point and shoot for normal conditions, look elsewhere. SECOND HAND GUITARS.
